All the round, small holes were for new mothers to place their babies umbilical cord, to get positive blessings for their child.
We stood there in the hot sun for a while, trying to figure out what might have given them the idea to carve people's shapes in the rock, but couldn't come up with any good ideas.
So we just took this picture, because we like shadows.
